ABORIGINAL BUSINESS SERVICE NETWORK
(ABSN)
The Aboriginal Business Service Network initiative involves a progressive partnership between the Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF) and the Canada-Ontario Business Service Centre (COBSC). The Aboriginal Business Service Network responds to the needs of Aboriginal entrepreneurs by offering an extensive range of business information services. Our aim is to help entrepreneurs access information and skills to start new businesses, access funds, develop their businesses, and achieve success.
Walk-in Resource Centre
-
Easy Internet access to comprehensive business information, including the resources of the Canada-Ontario Business Service Centre in Toronto; and,
-
User-friendly access to reference books, directories, video resources, vertical file documents, and an extensive network of electronic library resources.
Phone, Fax, or E-mail Assistance
With the cancellation of the FedNor staff enhancement for the site, we do not have a dedicate staff to handle long distance requests; however, we are committed to providing the best service possible with existing staff to help our Aboriginal clients meet their goals.
Workshops and Information Sessions
The Resource Centre provides relevant research and planning materials for anyone requiring ideas and information for presentations. NADF has excellent Business Training modules, including leaders guides, videos, and participant manuals (a reasonable rental rate may be charged for some resources).
