Our application forms, guides and toolkits are available to assist you in accessing Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund programs and services.  We recommend that you speak with one of our Business Support Team Members prior to completing your application.

Loans

We offer customized financing packages to meet the needs of you and your business.  Interest rates vary from 8.5%-12% and an equity contribution is required, minimum 10%.  An application fee is applied to all financing requests.  $100 for applicants between 18-35 years old and $150 for applicants over 35 years.

Grants

Community Initiative Grant (NEW)

A maximum of $10,000 can be approved for each project and the grant is non-repayable.  The applicant will be required to contribute 10% of the projected cost of the activity in cash.

Qualifying applicants include Aboriginal organizations that are non-profit organizations, associations, social enterprise, and/or First Nations (not individuals) to cover costs related to economic planning and development.  The grant is non-repayable.

Equity Assistance Grant (NEW)

A maximum of $10,000 can be approved for each applicant and the grant is non-repayable.  The applicant will be required to contribute 10% of the costs in cash.

Qualifying applicants include for-profit businesses such as sole proprietors, partnerships, and corporations who require assistance in building up its equity.

Aboriginal Business Contribution Program (ABCP)

On April 1, 2013, NADF began administering the Aboriginal Business Contribution Program (ABCP), formerly Indian and Northern Affairs Canada's Aboriginal Business Canada Program to Aboriginal entrepreneurs and businesses in Northern Ontario.  ABCP provides contributions to support the growth of Aboriginal business.

Winter Road Financing

Communities and businesses must be proactive and be prepared to begin transporting goods at the onset of the winter road season and NADF may be able to assist by providing financing to cash flow these purchases.
