NADF Receives National Award for Community Planning Toolkits

We are proud to share that Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF) has been awarded the National Indigenous Financial Institution Social Responsibility Award, presented by the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA).

This national award celebrates the remarkable leadership and contributions made by Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs) that enhance social, cultural, recreational, environmental, and economic opportunities in Indigenous communities. NADF was recognized for its development of two key resources: the Comprehensive Community Planning Toolkit and the Project Implementation Toolkit.

These toolkits were co-developed with guidance from a community-based advisory committee and are designed to support First Nations in building strategic, community-led plans for long-term development and success. They provide practical, accessible tools that help communities identify their priorities, create actionable plans, and implement projects that promote well-being, sustainability, and self-determination.

The toolkits are already being used across Northern Ontario to strengthen planning capacity and create more resilient, prosperous communities.

We invite you to explore these resources and share them with others working to advance Indigenous prosperity.
