Who Is The Contact Person?

Many of our communities in Northern Ontario are experiencing mineral exploration and mining development.  The communities impacted by the exploration and potential mining development in the Ring of Fire are just a few examples. As a result, First Nation officials need to understand the industry for the benefit of their communities.

This Strategic Mineral Exploration and Mining training course will help prepare First Nation officials to play an active role in engaging the mineral exploration and mining companies in their traditional territories. The course is a one week accelerated learning program that teaches core aspects on the business of mining, the mining cycle, including the business opportunities, mine construction and operations, consulting First Nations, capitalizing on business opportunities, land use planning, and communications.
